Cathy H. Brown, PMA-CPT, Owner

PMA Certified 2012
Core Dynamics Teacher Training 2011
The Pilates Center Advanced Teacher Training 2015

Cathy began her Pilates journey in 2006 to address postural issues associated with frequent travel and the stresses of a successful career in health care administration.  Through individualized private instruction and a faithful home practice she quickly discovered the power and profound benefits of the Pilates method and how it helped to restore her body to more natural movement patterns.

Desiring to help others experience the benefits of the Pilates method, Cathy completed her first Pilates teacher training in 2011 with Core Dynamics Pilates under the direction of Michelle Larsson in Santa Fe, New Mexico.  In 2012 she completed the Teacher’s Certification from the Pilates Method Alliance.   To expand her knowledge she completed the Advanced Teacher Training Program in 2015 with the Pilates Center of Boulder under the direction of Amy Taylor Alpers and Rachel Taylor Segal.  It is considered the most thorough and comprehensive program offered and is world-renowned.   Additionally, as a graduate of TPC andhaving  completed the TPC Host Advisor Training in 2016, Cathy is qualified to assist TPC students enrolled in any TPC training program.

Cathy has been teaching Pilates movement for over nine years in Austin and in May 2016 was able to launch her dream of opening her own studio and sharing her passion and experience for teaching and promoting the health and wellness benefits of the classical Pilates method.
